HÁM in the USA

What started close to home has found its way across the Atlantic. With our studio in England and a dedicated US team, we work as one — bringing the same instinct, craft and eclectic detail to every project, from elegant city townhouses to lakeside retreats and mountain hideaways.

The HÁM approach doesn't change with the location. Every project begins with a narrative, every decision is made with the whole picture in mind, and every space is shaped to feel lived in, loved and full of personality — whether we're working in Devon or Denver, Cornwall or Connecticut.

Our US projects are supported by a dedicated American team working alongside our studio in England. Whether you're looking for full architectural and interior design, bespoke millwork and furniture, or standalone decoration, we're experienced in working with existing teams or helping you build a new one.

HISTORIC GUESTHOUSE · CALIFORNIA

A historic guesthouse in Orange County, California — currently being transformed in close collaboration with our client and their architectural team. We are shaping the creative vision and leading all interior architecture and decoration throughout the property. The result will be a warm, eclectic destination: timeless in character, relaxed in spirit. Completing later this year.

GREENWICH FAMILY HOME · CONNECTICUT

A beautiful family home in Greenwich, Connecticut — the next chapter for long-standing clients. We've been working closely with them on the interior decoration, and are currently putting the finishing touches to a new kitchen. Another chapter in a long story together.

BROOKLYN HEIGHTS BROWNSTONE · NEW YORK

A Brooklyn Heights brownstone, in one of New York's most architecturally significant neighbourhoods. We helped shape the vision from the first conversations — working alongside our clients, appointing and collaborating closely with both architect and contractor, and leading the creative direction, interior architecture and decoration. A complete turnkey home, completing next year.

HUDSON VALLEY TOY BARN · Upstate New York

Set in New York's Hudson Valley, this new building has been designed as a place to work, create and retreat from the city. Conceived for a young, creative couple in search of a more rural way of life, it is built around one prized possession — a Brooklyn Coachworks Defender.

A workshop, garage and coffee hangout at ground level sit below open-plan living above, carefully positioned to make the most of long views across the surrounding landscape. Seriously practical, without ever compromising on comfort or character. A project in development.

WESTCHESTER HOUSE · NEW YORK

A historic home in Westchester County for clients who have made the move from the city. We worked with them on interior design, helping refresh and reimagine the space — bringing colour, layered detail and a sense of personality to a house with great bones. Recently completed.

Varley · NEW YORK and beyond

What started as a personal project has grown into one of our most exciting and enduring creative partnerships. It began with our dear friends Ben and Lara — renovating their South London family home — and grew into something much more. From that first home came their debut King's Road store, then Marylebone, then across the Atlantic. Along the way we've been working on their next home, now nearing completion. A friendship that became something far bigger — and we're proud and excited to be part of their journey.
