By connecting the studio to the main house, an entirely new heart was created — a light-filled kitchen and dining room that changed the way the family moves through and experiences their home. Architectural details were reinstated throughout, complemented by bespoke joinery and layered with a lighter, more contemporary spirit. Colour was used boldly from the start — a warm terracotta in the double living room, dark blues through the kitchen and main bedroom, a mellow yellow for the cabinetry — each one an echo of the next, so that with every door open the spaces feel connected.
A natural palette, honest materials and characterful furniture create a home that feels refined yet relaxed — children and dogs have the run of every room. Beautiful, comfortable and robust enough for family life.
