The richness of this room lies in the layers — bespoke panelling and joinery housing linens set the tone, with walls and woodwork painted in Drab, a characterful brown typical of the 18th century that grounds the room without ever feeling heavy. Against it, richly toned marble, antique brass, heavily lined curtains and soft lighting build up the layers in the way we love most.
The centrepiece is a 19th-century English embossed double-ended cast iron bath with a wooden roll top, alongside it our Old House vanity — with its beautifully shaped apron, classic tapered legs and Carrara marble top, inspired by antique wash stands. Carefully chosen artwork and finishing touches complete the picture, making the space feel like a natural extension of the house — characterful, calm and completely considered.
