The ground floor had been gloomy and uninviting — a galley kitchen the couple barely used. By rethinking the layout, adding a walk-in pantry, introducing glazed partitions and tiling the walls to bounce light, we turned it into somewhere they actually want to spend time. Bespoke joinery on every floor, a first-floor study created without touching a single structural wall, and storage built in wherever it would fit — because in a smaller space, everything has to work harder.
A calm palette of red, green and white runs through every room, grounded by natural materials and lifted by artwork, antiques and Studio HÁM pieces. Classically English in spirit, with the odd touch of the Wild West thrown in for good measure.
